Memories are such beautiful things. When we started having conversations around making a space for Suta in Bangalore, our thoughts went back to the day of our first saree.
Developing the material palette for the space has been a series of play with lime, clays, pigments and oils to come up with our own shades of plasters, oxide flooring and natural paints. And the best part of this process is naming a colour we love. Every new shade evokes a memory, of a smell, a taste, an emotion or sometimes even a person.
