Clay plaster

There is a certain romance in the use of raw materials as they are found in nature.  Matiere premiere. Clay captures that and more. The texture of a smooth clay surface is hard to describe. It feels soft yet is a firm surface. It feels smooth, yet the surface catches on to your skin as if not wanting to let go. With countless colours of natural clay, fibres and additives, expression with raw can be as diverse as one can imagine. From monolithic reading nooks, pods, wall surfaces to sculpture, clay simply adapts. It can either burnish into a reflective shine or the surface carefully and delicately cracked. Though sensitive to water, its capacity to be repaired easily, and its raw nature makes it an ideal finish if you are seeking authenticity and rootedness in your interior. It is no surprise that a material that has manifested as a mark of civilizations for millennia in the form of pottery, ceramics, sculptures, bricks and so much more, is one that fills us with so much inspiration.
